Kindred

A fan app, an artist studio, and the system behind them, built so fans can pay artists directly.

Kindred lets fans pay the artists they love directly, through a phone app for listening, a web studio for artists, and the system behind both. The parts that took the most thought were taking payment, deciding who gets to hear what, and making a music player feel right under a thumb.

Ridgeway

One system that staff, owners, tenants, and field crews all work in, each seeing only what is theirs.

Ridgeway gives a property business one web app and one mobile app, so staff, owners, tenants, and caretakers can all work from the same record. The interesting problems were who is allowed to see which rent, keeping repairs in a strict order, and making the mobile app actually usable on a site.

Paaros

The desk a wholesale pharmacy runs its week on.

Paaros is the web app a wholesale pharmacy uses to sell to clinics and shops, collect what they owe, and keep track of stock by batch and expiry. The parts that needed the most care were stopping a customer from buying on credit once they owe too much, treating a cheque as unpaid until it clears, and keeping the stock count honest.

Showlog

An iPhone app for keeping track of every show you watch, episode by episode.

Showlog is a complete show tracker on top of a public TV catalogue. TV Time had shut down, and what replaced it was more complicated than the job. The interesting part was keeping it quick and simple however big the catalogue or the show, and making every tap feel instant.

How I work

A product you can run after handover.

01You work with me. I scope the product, design it, build it, and hand it over.

02The scope, the price, and the date are agreed before any code. You can see what is included, what can wait, and how long the first version will take.

03When I finish, you get the code, the accounts, and a walkthrough of how it runs. If you want me to stay on for maintenance, that is a separate fee.

Screens designed in the same place the product is built. One visual system for web and mobile.

iPhone and Android from one codebase, built for real devices and real use.

Data and backends

Accounts, databases, files, and the jobs that run behind the product. Tools chosen for the job.

Taking money and deciding who can see what. The rules live on the server.

Built in when the product needs it. You still decide what it is allowed to do.

Hosting, store submission when there is an app, then the code, the accounts, and a walkthrough of how to run it yourself.

    Discover

    A clear brief

    I start from who it is for and what has to work on day one. That picture can change. I check in along the way so the work stays close to what you want.

    Agree

    Scope, price, and date

    Before any code, you see the screens, what is included, what can wait, the price, and the date. That is so you can decide with the facts in front of you. If the scope changes later, the price and the date are updated with it.

  3. 03

    Build

    Something you can use each week

    Design and code move together. Every week you open the product and say what to change. That feedback shows up in the product you open the next week.

  4. 04

    Hand over

    The code, the accounts, the keys

    You get the code with its full history, every account in your name, and a recorded walkthrough of how it runs and how to change it. If you want me to stay on for maintenance, that is a separate fee.

Client

We're a small family pharmacy that supplies clinics and other pharmacies, and for years I kept track of everything in spreadsheets. Now I open one screen and I can see who owes us, what's in stock, and what's about to expire. Delasi was easy to work with, he kept to his timeline, and what he delivered actually works.
